Apple will be hosting its annual Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco from June 11 through June 15 at the Moscone West Convention Center. Apple announced the event on Wednesday, finally bringing an end to speculation surrounding when the event would take place.



“We have a great WWDC planned this year and can’t wait to share the latest news about iOS and OS X Mountain Lion with developers,” commented Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing Phil Schiller.

Apple uses the annual event to give iOS and OS X developers details on the company’s roadmap, and also offers developers the opportunity to work directly with Apple engineers for a few days.

The event will include over 100 technical sessions presented by Apple engineers, 100 hands-on labs where developers can get help with their own code from Apple, and will also include Apple’s traditional Design Awards for Mac, iPhone and iPad apps.

The conference costs US$1,599 and is open to iOS and Mac developers who are at least 13 years old. Ticket purchases are limited to one per person and five per organization.
