At WWDC on Monday, Apple officially unveiled its much anticipated iTunes in the Cloud feature.

The feature will be part of iCloud, which will formally launch alongside iOS 5 this fall, but users can get a taste of some of features today.

iTunes in the Cloud allows users to access songs, albums, music videos, apps and books that were previously purchased but that don’t exist locally on a user’s device. That means if you don’t have a copy of an album on your iPhone...

iOS 5 won't be ready for the masses until this Fall, but lucky developers and eager tech bloggers are able to get in on the action right now. Apple says that there are over 200 new features baked into the updated OS, and we've run through the biggies from Notification Center to Twitter to that oh-so-convenient split keyboard for you all you need to do is click after the break.

Many of the new features in iOS 5 are things we've been sitting, waiting, and wishing for since the iPhone first launched. Complete with a more robust notification scheme and a brand new messaging protocol, Apple...

John Gruber at Daring Fireball has published his thoughts on what’s going down tomorrow with iCloud at WWDC. In short: “Don’t think of iCloud as the new MobileMe; think of iCloud as the new iTunes.” Gruber notes that the iOS syncing process of today requires a user to USB tether their device to their computer in order to sync music, video, apps, etc. iCloud might just be the future of iOS device syncing.

While magician and performance artist Simon Pierro is not really showing us a “beta version of iOS 5,” his iPad demo is magical nonetheless.

We especially like the way Simon demonstrates iOS 5′s new “space/time connection,” engaging in a special kind of streaming that you won’t soon forget.

Apple itself has already confirmed the name, and now Apple Insider has snapped some early pictures at the Moscone Center that reveal the iCloud logo / icon. Shockingly, it's a cloud.

Inside, a huge banner depicts Mac OS X Lion, iOS 5, and iCloud as being the three components adding up for WWDC 2011. Additional banners hung from the ceiling are still under wraps.

In previous years, Apple has kept some of these banners under wraps until the Keynote presentation.
